Two scientific and friendly days

in honor of

Jean Fonlupt and Denis Naddef

July 7th-8th, 2008

Grenoble, 46 avenue Félix Viallet, Bâtiment C

On the occasion of their forthcoming retirement (in two and a half weeks for Jean and in two and a half years for Denis), to celebrate Jean Fonlupt's birthday (65 on July 8th!) and Denis Naddef's 60 already passed birthdays, we are pleased to invite their colleagues and friends to meet in Grenoble around their favorite scientific subjects: combinatorial optimization, graph theory, the polyhedral method and their applications. The speakers - co-authors, former students, colleagues from the very beginning or not - will contribute with a few words, sentences or theorems. The talks will also allow us to remember various stages of their carriers, some important events and some stories associated with their work. Jean and Denis were both professors of Operations Research at Ensimag, both of them are influential personalities in the community of Combinatorics and Optimization in France and worldwide, and we honor them together. We hope to see them in the future even more than in the past, to share mathematics, good meals, and other pleasant activities and already from July 7th on ...
